The cricket association building was officially opened on the 12th Oct 1969 by J.H Chambers (Past President) A.E Fowlie (Secretary) E.W. Blackwood (President)

It became shared with the Hockey association some time after that but has not been used for hockey since the early 90's.

The Building was located initially at the bottom field near where the new entrance to the Sports ground is now, it was relocated up to David Foote Park around the late 1980's.

The building is a huge asset to the Cricket Association, there aint too many buildings this size solely for cricket use (unless you are in the city). So we are very lucky.

The Association has made it a high priority to invest in bringing the building back up to the desired standard to facilitate cricket and other community activities.
